Bridewell Police Station

We were commissioned to undertake the demolition of Bridewell Police Station, Juvenile Courts and adjacent pedestrian overhead walkways spanning Bristol City Centre and Nelson Street main bus route.

The project had a number of locational challenges as it was situated in the main city centre adjacent to a residential area and required a large amount of the work to be undertaken out of normal working hours.

We worked closely with Environmental Health and local residents to successfully manage the safety challenges alongside working expediently.

This project was delivered within tendered figure and an impressive 16 weeks ahead of program.

Rupert Street

Ambulance Station Tower Hill - Bristol

We were commissioned to undertake the demolition of the former Tower Hill Ambulance Station in Bristol.

The site had an ancient culvert which the river Frome runs through the middle which required protection, the structures were of an unusual type and a pedestrian walkway bridge joined the Ambulance Station to a live hospital clinic which remain live throughout the works.  The bridge was separated and removed during the occupation of the clinic.

The site was located in the financial and legal district and was bounded by a residential area, this meant close liason with local organisations and Environmental Health.  Some of the works had to be carried out in out of hours working.

This project was delivered accident and incident free and ahead of program.

Oxford Brooks University

We demolished a number of buildings sited within the main areas of Oxford Brookes University.  The Abercrombie block was connected to a teaching block which was separated and demolished whilst students were in occupation.

The scope of works included removal of flock asbestos, high reach demolition, breaking out ground floor slabs and foundations.  The resulting material was crushed and the material left on site for use on the rebuild.

The project was successfully executed within budget and ahead of program

Plant dismantling

We have extensive experience in the dismantling of large tanks and plant within chemical plants, cement works and commercial sites.

The collation of subcontractors is imperative for the successful removal of such items within live working environments.  Our close working relationships with our clients and sub contractors has ensured our success in this field of work.

Alcan Midsomer Norton

Former printing works Alcan was situated on a 10 acre site near Midsomer Norton, Bath.

The site consisted of many various forms of structures, breaking out ground floor slabs and foundations.  The resulting material was crushed and screened into different grades of aggregate, 6F2, Type 1, pipe dust etc. The material was reused on site for the building of new houses.

The project was successfully executed within budget and ahead of program
